Red Envelope
during the holidays here in the philippines, you can really see the prominent influence of the chinese to us filipinos. like now, so far i got three red envelopes(hongbao, angpao, laisee or whatever in chinese haha). as a kid and up to now i appreciate it very much not only because of the money :D but because of the very thought of receiving the red envelope itself wishing me a merry christmas and a happy new year... sorta cliche and corny e hahaha.
